However the ion cannons have retarded recharge rate, and I have an artillery laser, so I manage to shut down the gatling lasers partway through their rather long firing sequence(it takes some time to shoot eight fucking laser shots) However due to the whole 3 layers of shields and upgraded engine systems I manage to not do this on the first volley. So I have 6 shots to disable their weapons with. So the first thing I notice is that the ion cannons shoot 3 times each. Alright that's cool I think I can take this. That's 4 levels of shields, a cloaking device, and two of those MOTHER FUCKING GATLING LASERS(the 8 shot bullshit I mentioned earlier). Additionally, it has enough starting power to run all these things so I'm not really sure what is going on. But for some reason it starts out with level 2 shields and level 1 cloak so I assume I did something wrong. Ok first of all this thing isn't supposed to have shields.

Some of the new enemies are real motherfuckers.Ī lot of custom ships are stupidly overpowered for the regular game. Oh yeah, this also makes the dual laser cost 2 power, for whatever reason. Just pretties up the visuals a bit and makes weapons look more unique. This mod also gives the option to replace the default weapon sets with ones introduced in the mod.

One of my favorite mods for how seamlessly it integrates with the vanilla game, and the amount of variety it adds. It's really simple, and there's sufficient instructions in there.Īdds a pretty hefty selection of new weapons and drones which fit nicely in to the existing weapon set. The mods I'll be listing here are just general improvements and additions to the game that don't break the existing balance or add anything too drastic.
